TUCKER COUNTY TRACK COMPETE AT STATE MEET IN CHARLESTON

CHARLESTON – The Mt. Lions Girls’ and Boys’ Track teams traveled to Charleston to compete at the WV State Track Meet on Saturday May 21st.  The Tucker County Girls’ 4x800m Relay team had the best finish of the Meet for Tucker County as they placed 6th overall.  The members of this team were, Lilly Callaway, Hannah Hardy, Erin Chambers and Katie Hicks.  The Lady Mt. Lions 4x800m team ran a time of 11:07.55 to bring home the only medals for Tucker County in the Meet.  The Boys’ 4x100m team of Logan Husk, Trent Eure, JJ Knotts and Haden Wamsley placed 9th overall with a time of 47.51.  The Boys’ Shuttle Hurdle Relay team of Clay Poling, Haden Wamsley, Allen Boyles and Logan Husk placed 10th overall with a time of 1:08.35.  

 

Tucker County’s Katie Hicks took home 10th place overall in the Girls’ 800m event with a time of 2:36.80.  The Mt. Lions Boys’ 4x200m Relay Team consisting of Trent Eure, Logan Husk, Gavin Mullenax and Haden Wamsley posted a time of 1:39.88 to place 11th overall in the event.  The Tucker County Boys’ 4x800m Relay Team finished 12th overall with a time of 9:25.11.  The TCHS Boys’ 4x800m Relay Team consisted of Devin Witemore, Wesley Strawderman, Jared Reall and Clay Poling.  The Mt. Lions Boys’ 4x400m Relay Team of Connor Evick, Ethan McCrum, Devin Witemore and Haden Wamsley placed 12th overall with a time of 4:00.19.  The Lady Mt. Lions 4x400m Relay Team of Nevaeh Nichols, Brianna Gooden, Hannah Hardy and Katie Hicks took 14th place with a time of 4:55.74.
